Luminis, an established innovator and manufacturer of specification-grade lighting solutions, is pleased to announce it has received three GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards in the 16th edition of the competition. Clermont received GOLD CERTIFICATION in both the Industrial Design/Lighting Fixture-Outdoor and Industrial Design/Lighting Fixture-Indoor categories. Inline was awarded GOLD CERTIFICATION in the Industrial Design/Lighting Fixture-Outdoor category.
The GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards is an international competition that celebrates the excellence and talent of creative professionals and firms who have distinguished themselves through exemplary practice. Created in Montreal in 2007, the original mission was to recognize the excellence of Quebec designers and architects. The competition was expanded to include international entries in 2020. A multidisciplinary jury of global judges includes leading international designers, architects, professors, entrepreneurs, and distinguished press.
Clermont was designed with a “curb to cube” family approach. Designers can mix and match optic requirements and mounting options to create a consistent design aesthetic and carry it from outdoors to indoors. Applications include roadways, pathways, public parks, university campuses, and indoor public spaces such as reception areas, hotel lobbies, or offices. Two optics options are available. A glare-managing comfort optic is available for exterior applications when pedestrian needs are the priority or to ensure occupant comfort in interior spaces. An advanced high-output performance optic is offered for street and area illumination, enhancing visibility and reducing dark zones.
Inline is a contemporary range of bollards and columns with a distinctly urban aesthetic. Independently adjustable light modules allow lighting designers to capture the essential elements in a landscape arrangement. The luminaires produce impactful illumination for spaces such as parks, plazas, outdoor arena spaces, landscaped gardens, pedestrian areas, and other urban environments. Bollards are available in three heights, and designers may select up to two light modules per bollard. Columns with up to four modules per column and pole heights up to 20’ may be chosen. Light modules rotate 355° individually for controlled illumination and one-of-a-kind flexibility. Final positioning and rotation of each module can be modified on-site during installation.
